There are many old wives tales and theories to suggest one gender or another; Have fun thinking about these, but know that there is no scientific proof!
Chinese Gender Predictor Chart: The Chinese gender chart is rumored to have been discovered in a tomb over seven centuries ago. The chart is designed to determine a baby’s gender before the baby is even conceived, thus allowing you to select the gender you want. The chart cross references the mother’s age with the month of conception. However, this is based on the lunar calendar not the western calendar, so make sure you do a conversion. Some think this chart can be very accurate if used correctly, but remember, this should be viewed as entertainment with no guarantees!
Needle or Wedding Ring Predictor Method: Attach a needle, pin, or wedding ring to a string. While you are lying down, dangle the item over your pregnant belly. If it swings in a circular motion, you are having a girl. If it swings like a pendulum (side to side), you are having a boy.
Baby’s Heart Rate Gender Predictor: This theory suggests that if your baby’s heart rate is over 140 beats per minute, you are having a girl. If it is less than 140 beats per minute, you are having a boy. (Please keep in mind these is no evidence to support this.
