HALO® has SleepSack® wearable blankets and SleepSack® Swaddles that are designed for In-Hospital use and can be laundered using the same methods as general institutional linens composed of similar fabrics and components.
HALO’s In-Hospital products use high-quality polyester micro-fleece and cotton fabrics with heavy-duty, all-steel zippers and Velcro® fasteners.
They launder very well when washed using our recommendations above. We have some laundries using the same SleepSack wearable blankets year after year.
They may need some special sorting to ensure the right process is used. It is preferable to use a pony washer if the launderer is doing small loads and adjust chemicals to the size of the load being washed.
Let us speak with them. SleepSack wearable blankets are now the standard of care in more than 1,250 hospitals across the country. Ask what makes them “special” and we will happily help you address.
Let us speak with them. We can provide your laundry with the same free SleepSack wearable blankets that we would have given to you. All you have to do is fill out the worksheets for them which determine how many they may receive.
The Velcro needs to be closed in the laundering process for best results. If your laundry does not want to launder Velcro under any circumstances (although most hospitals prefer it) we do have a non-Velcro style.
It may cost slightly more, but that cost should be more than offset by the cost of acquisition, which should be less than your blanket program.
