Dear Valued Customer,
As many of you know, the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act, or CPSIA, has instituted new legislation that covers merchandise and products sold and intended for children.
HALO closely monitors safety issues. One of the requirements of the new law involves limits on the levels of lead in clothing. This typically would apply to the paint on matching snaps or the hardware in a garment like zippers, metal buttons, etc. Rest assured that we had already met the compliance requirements.
We pride ourselves on the safety of our products and critical quality controls. We have been testing our zippers, snaps, fabric, trims and packaging for lead content since the first day we started making products many years ago! We insisted on testing and manufacturing to levels even then that are only now becoming the standard.
We have the list of General Conformity Certificates available on the HALO website, click here to view the list. We want you to know that we take the safety and well-being of children very seriously and we are confident that all of our products, whether shipping now or shipped in previous seasons, are safe for infants and children.
