Our sizing chart is based on industry standards and these size ranges are guidelines as all babies have different body types which can affect fit. Size Guide
HALO Magic Sleepsuit is recommended for babies 3 – 6 months only. There are two sizes available to accommodate babies at different weights.
Size Small: 12-18 lbs
Size Large: 18-21 lbs
When your little one is breaking out of the swaddle but still needs the cozy, contained feeling to sleep comfortably on their back, try transitioning them to the Magic Sleepsuit.
We recommend discontinuing use of the Magic Sleepsuit once your child begins to roll while wearing the Sleepsuit or show signs that they want to roll over while wearing it.
This is typically a sign that babies are ready for the next stage of having more freedom of movement in their sleep.
The Magic Sleepsuit is designed for back sleeping in the crib. It is not to be used for tummy sleeping.
However, if your little one is rolling over only during tummy time, they are still able to use the Magic Sleepsuit. It is only when they are rolling over while wearing the Magic Sleepsuit that it is time to transition them out.
When it's time, consider transitioning to the HALO SleepSack Wearable Blanket. It allows for greater freedom of movement, while still providing the comfort they are looking for.
The Magic Sleepsuit should be used in a room at the AAP recommended temperature for babies, which is on the cooler side.
We recommend a diaper or onesie under the Magic Sleepsuit. We do not recommend any more than one layer of light cotton.
Like with any baby sleep product, it is up to parents to monitor the baby in the Sleepsuit and make sure the baby's room is at the recommended temperature for babies. Please remember that babies' hands and feet can feel cool, so the best way to gauge body temperature is to place your hand on their stomach or back. If they feel hot and sweaty, remove a layer of clothing or remove them from the Sleepsuit.
