Some babies love being swaddled, so moving them to a wearable blanket can be jarring and cause wakeups.

Transition sleep sacks are designed to make this an easier and smoother process by offering coziness and/or gentle compression, which can help minimize the startle reflex. It is essential to dress your baby appropriately underneath the sleepsack or swaddle, depending on the room temperature. Use lightweight, breathable clothing, such as a onesie or a light cotton sleeper, in warm weather. In colder temperatures, opt for a warmer sleeper or footed pajamas.
