Wish I could pick something else!

"We made this bassinet, and when the baby came, realized it was a terrible design for us. The legs are so high and long, they don’t fit under the bed so the bassinet is not able to get close to the bed, it was not helpful after my C-section. Also, the legs are so long and high that they are a trip hazard. If I could go back in time, I would select a different bassinet. Overpriced and poor design for what it is."

Overhyped purchase. After a few

"Overhyped purchase. After a few weeks with baby, I wish we had skipped this bassinet and gone with a simpler, more affordable option. This is a large, bulky piece. The base takes up a lot of space, and when it’s positioned close to the bed (which is one of the features that drew me to it), it actually makes it difficult to get in and out. I end up feeling stuck on my side. It’s also not mobile at all. That may not seem important at first, but it ended up being a big downside for me. I really wish it had wheels so it could easily move into the living room during the day. We actually ended up buying a second bassinet just for mobility. If you’re planning to do night shifts with a partner, being able to move the bassinet from one side of the bed to the other is really helpful—but this one makes that nearly impossible. It’s massive and a real ordeal to move at all. The push down side was helpful after my C-section, but it wasn’t necessary. A standard bedside bassinet with a simple drop-down side would have been just fine. It’s a nice product, but not worth the money—even if you have it to spend. Overall, my takeaway is that I overspent by a few hundred dollars on this item. Also worth noting: the return policy is very restrictive. You have 30 days from delivery, and the product must be unused. If you purchase it ahead of your baby’s arrival, you’ll likely miss the return window—and if you try it even once, you’re stuck with it."

Perfect for my soon to

"Perfect for my soon to be grandchild! The parents to be have it assembled and next to the bed ready for the big day! Wish these were around when I was a new parent."

Our baby has not yet

"Our baby has not yet arrived so we haven’t had a chance to review it yet, but the set up was very simple. The design is sleek and looks exactly like the pictures. The swivel is smooth and reaches the right height just above our bed which is pretty low. The netting is easy to see through and seems very breathable. We are looking forward to using this product and will update this review if our 5-star rating changes once our baby is here."

Extremely Uncomfortable

"We had this for our son and our first and second night home he cried non-stop in it and was moving around. The "mattress" that it comes with is so thin and it lays on a hard surface. He was so uncomfortable. Night 3 we decided to try out his crib and he slept amazing. We never went back to the bassinet."

My daughter is 6 weeks

"My daughter is 6 weeks old and I have loved the halo swivel sleeper so far! It’s wondering having her so close, I feel like she’s in bed with us. Knowing she’s safe and being able to easily see her through the mesh helps us all sleep better!"

Ashley H. (5/5)

Very disappointed

"Honestly we hated this bassinet. The sides never seemed to stay all the way up so the mesh was very loose and floppy and the bassinet would constantly sink. It wouldn’t stay at the height we wanted it. Also the legs of the bassinet extend very far so they are hard to walk around in the dark. We ended up having to put glow in the dark tape on them to stop from bashing our toes"

Katy C. (1/5)

Disappointed

"I bought this Basnett as a replacement of my old one. I washed it all directions. The mesh is now loose as can be and is a high suffocation risk. I’m due in six weeks. An absolutely upset that I wasted my money on this."

Very nice bassinet, my newborn

"Very nice bassinet, my newborn loves it! Legs are low enough to fit under a lower to ground bed. The 360 degree swivel is clutch. The feature that allows the front of the bassinet to lower to easily lay or take my newborn out is great and allows for smooth transition."

Genesis A. (5/5)

Do not purchase!!!

"Mattress is super low quality. My baby would just not sleep on it at all. We had to purchase a new bassinet and she is now sleeping just fine. The legs are really inconvenient, you have to have a high bed for them to go under. The side that is supposed to go down so you can reach your baby is really hard to put down. Definitely would not recommend this to anyone."

Q&A

The control panel is malfunctioning and the vibration is extremely hard to detect and only works when pushed twice (if at all). Same for the sounds. Can it be reset? I’ve had it for less than a month! My newborn loves it, though.
Hi there! We're sorry to hear about this. Our customer care team will reach out to you directly to see if they can troubleshoot. If not, then we'll be happy to send you a replacement part.
Can you lock the swivel feature so the entire bassinet doesn't move? Can't seem to find the answer to that anywhere
Unfortunately there is no lock for the swivel but it does require a parent to move it (vs. moving on its own.) There is a lock for the lowering wall should you prefer to keep it in an upright position.
My baby is very long (over 24.5 in., greater than 99th percentile for 10 weeks). Do you have a length maximum that is safe for babies in this bassinet? Her arms can touch both sides when sleeping, too.
There is no height maximum for BassiNest. You should transition your baby out of BassiNest once they reach 20lbs, 5 months or show signs of pushing up (whichever happens first.) When it comes to height, there is no maximum; we recommend transitioning if they are showing signs of discomfort and/or desire to sprawl a bit further. (Some babies enjoy touching the mesh sides of BassiNest and find it soothing for sleep.)
What is the height of where the legs attach to the center pole support? Wondering how far it will be able to fit under bed.
Thanks for the question. The height of where the legs attach to the base is 9". If your bed frame is at least 4.5" from the floor, he BassiNest legs will partially or fully slide under your bed frame. If your bed frame is lower than 4.5" from the floor, then we recommend BassiNest Luxe or Flex or a better fit.
