This means that the longevity of a bassinet will be limited, and parents may need to purchase a larger sleeping option, such as a crib, once the baby outgrows the bassinet.

Cribs, on the other hand, can be used for several years, from infancy to toddlerhood and beyond. Some cribs can even convert into toddler beds or full-sized beds, providing even longer-term use.

All US BassiNests comply with CPSC regulation 16 CFR part 1218 and, by reference, ASTM F2194 (Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Bassinets and Cradles) and also carry JPMA certification (Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association), signifying they meet additional requirements and the highest standards for safety, performance, and functionality. All Canadian BassiNests comply with the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act including SOR/2016-152 (Cribs, Cradles and Bassinet Regulations).

While BassiNest can be used as is with no additional accessories, we do strongly recommend purchasing a few extra BassiNest sheets. (You’ll want these for laundry days or when accidents happen!) Many parents also find the Newborn Insert incredibly helpful in getting the youngest babies to feel secure for sleep.

You should move your baby from BassiNest into a crib when they reach 20 lbs or 5 months old (whichever is sooner), or once they start to push up on hands and knees. Some issues with hardware.

"I received this Halo bassinest lite for free and exchange for my honest review. I really wanted to love this bassinet as I have heard good things about Halo unfortunately though the bassinet came with a piece that wouldn't clip in properly because it had an issue structurally inside as you can see in the photos. I was able to use a metal object to push the piece back in place but my fear is that if I ever want to travel with this bassinet I won't be able to take it apart and put it back together easily because I fear that the metal piece will break completely off inside. Additionally, I was really hoping this would come with a carrying case but unfortunately, there was no carrying case included so it won't be super easy for travel. I do however like the idea of how portable this bassinet can be. This is going to be our living room bassinet by our couch and in our bedroom. I I also do like that the bassinet fits under the bed so it's easier to have the baby be closer to me in the middle of the night."

How much does it measures when collapsed? I’m wondering if it would fit a large checked travel luggage for the plane.

Does it come with a bassinet pad insert or do you need to purchase is separately?
Hi there! Thanks for the question. BassiNest Lite includes a mattress pad but no sheet. It's totally fine for your little to sleep directly on the pad. However, knowing accidents happen with babies, we do recommend having a few extra sheets on hand. You can purchase these separately on our site in both 100% cotton and 100% organic cotton.
Can this model be collapsed into a tote?
Hi there! BassiNest Lite can be disassembled quickly and easily with no tools required. That said, it does NOT include a carry tote, so you'd need to purchase one separately that fits it.
